Planned Parenthood Statement on Continued Congressional Attacks on Women's Health Care
For Immediate Release: Nov. 30, 2015
Washington, DC — This afternoon, Rep. Marsha Blackburn pushed to continue the taxpayer-funded witch hunt against Planned Parenthood saying, "we are focused on a fact-finding mission..." According to The Hill, Rep. Blackburn "forcefully fought back against calls from Democrats like Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.) to disband the committee."
This follows the GOP presidential candidates yesterday weighing in on the recent tragedy in Colorado for the first time, while simultaneously continuing their reckless political push to defund Planned Parenthood and cut people off from getting the care they need.
Below is a statement responding to Rep. Blackburn and Republicans' continued push to defund women's health care from Dawn Laguens, Executive Vice President of Planned Parenthood Federation of America:
"Enough is enough."
