Pregnancy tests are very accurate if you use them correctly. The results can be wrong if you use the pregnancy test too early, don’t follow the directions, or if the test is expired.
Pregnancy tests are most accurate (working 99 times out of 100) when you take them after you’ve already missed your period. Always check the expiration date on the package, and carefully follow the directions that come with your pregnancy test.
If you don’t want to take a test at home, you can visit a Planned Parenthood health center. The staff will give you a pregnancy test and talk you through your options if you’re pregnant.
