I am 17, residing in the state of Idaho. Medicare usually covers all of my health care. Would it cover an Implant, and would a statement/ something of the sort be mailed to my house?
Medicare plans don’t always cover birth control like the implant. To find out if yours does, and what (if any) kind of statement they would mail to your home, call the customer service phone number for your plan, which you can usually find on the back of your insurance card.
If your insurance doesn’t cover birth control, your nearest Planned Parenthood health center may be able to offer you the implant at a reduced price, depending on what programs are available in your area. Give them a call, too. The Planned Parenthood health center staff will do everything they can to help you get the birth control that’s right for you.
