Will one day’s dose of the pill be less effective if my partner and I have sex two or three times that day (because that’s more sperm)?
When you’re on the pill, your level of protection doesn’t change depending on how much sex you’re having. The hormones in the pill prevent a woman’s ovaries from releasing eggs — ovulation. Pregnancy cannot happen if there’s no egg to join with the sperm, regardless of how much sperm enters the woman’s body.
