We are thrilled to announce a new education program, IN·clued, for LGBTQ+ youth and health care professionals serving LGBTQ+ youth! We're looking for volunteers to work alongside our Health Educators in the community as volunteer Peer Educators.
Qualifications for the role:
- A strong ally for or identity within the LGBTQ+ community
- A passion for accessible sexual and reproductive health care and education
- A love for public speaking, teaching, performing, and/or acting
- Youth and individuals ages 14-24 years old
- A reliable mode of transportation to different sites for program training and delivery
Commitment:
- All volunteers must complete 25-30 hours of virtual and in-person learning and rehearsing before participating in programming
- We are asking for a 1-year commitment of 4-16 hours per month, mostly after school hours and weekends
What you will get:
- A foundation of knowledge as all training is provided by Planned Parenthood
- All trained Peer Educators are eligible to receive volunteer hours for school credit
- Other supportive resources for programming
