Louisville Planned Parenthood will begin providing abortion services again in March 2020.
The years-long fight for abortion care in Kentucky ended with good news last month. Planned Parenthood received its provisional license!
For years, the former governor of Kentucky weaponized a regulatory process to deny PPINK its license. We held then governor in contempt and continued to fight back in the courts. The new administration is following through on the standard process and we are working to secure our permanent license.
We are so proud to see Kentucky go from one provider to two. This win is a step forward, not only for abortion access in Kentucky, but across the nation.
Abortion access is threatened in many states, and it’s important to show our opponents that we will never back down and never stop fighting for a person’s right to make medical decisions about their own body. All people in Kentucky – and everywhere – deserve to make their own pregnancy decisions and have access to safe and legal abortion.
