KANSAS CITY, MO. — As part of a continued mission to provide high-quality health care to all patients, regardless of insurance status or ability to pay, Planned Parenthood Great Plains (PPGP) is now offering primary care for patients ages 18 and older in the Kansas City metro.
The expansion of primary care began with the Patty Brous Health Center, located in midtown Kansas City. Primary care will be added to all four metro-area health centers in summer 2021.
PPGP’s primary care services now include treatment and consultation regarding sinus infections, ear infections, pharyngitis (sore throat), contact dermatitis (rashes), acute gastroenteritis (upset stomach), acne, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), and seasonal allergies.
"With the addition of primary care, Planned Parenthood Great Plains will continue to make significant improvements to our community's health,” said President and CEO Brandon Hill, PhD. “For many patients, PPGP is their only source for health care. Our providers are dedicated to delivering expert reproductive and sexual health care and now our patients will have the opportunity to access even more services, all in one place.”
Along with new primary care services, PPGP proudly provides the full range of comprehensive sexual and reproductive health care services and specialty care for all gender identities.
