Washington, D.C. – As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to abate and the DC region begins to reopen, Planned Parenthood of Metropolitan Washington, DC (PPMW) is offering behavioral health appointments to the Washington, DC area community. Patients accessing these services will be able to seek help both in-person and through telehealth for behavioral health issues including anxiety, depression, and eating disorders.
“May is National Mental Health Awareness Month. Yet, many folks in our community are struggling with anxiety, depression, and other behavioral health challenges - a reality that has only been exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic. To meet this urgent need, PPMW is offering high-quality, accessible behavioral health telemedicine appointments,” said Dr. Laura Meyers, PPMW President and CEO. “With these expansive services, we are able to offer more comprehensive care to the people in our community who have relied on us for over 80 years.”
