Planned Parenthood of Northern New England Supports the Women's Rape Crisis Center
For Immediate Release: Jan. 30, 2014
Burlington (VT) – Planned Parenthood of Northern New England (PPNNE) is proud to be participating in this year’s Mardi Gras parade to benefit the Women’s Rape Crisis Center. This year’s float will feature PPNNE’s Good Chemistry environmental health work. Staff and volunteers will dress as “mad scientists” and hand out jar openers made from recycled tires.
PPNNE is proud to be a part of this great community event to support the Women’s Rape Crisis Center. There are many issues that affect women’s health, from environmental contaminants to sexual violence, PPNNE is proud to support efforts to end both,” said Jill Krowinski, Communications Director for PPNNE. “We’re so excited to be featuring our Good Chemistry laboratory in the parade, where we’ll be cooking up some green tips for better health."
