to White River Junction
For Immediate Release: Dec. 7, 2014 (Updated: Dec. 7, 2014, 1:13 p.m.)
(White River Junction, VT) – On December 8th, Planned Parenthood of Northern New England (PPNNE) will relocate its West Lebanon, NH health center to a new, state-of-the-art facility located at 79 South Main Street, White River Junction, Vermont.
The new health center in White River Junction allows PPNNE to more efficiently serve current patients and to serve more patients overall. It also provides the infrastructure necessary for modern health care, such as electronic health records. In addition, the large exam rooms allow PPNNE space to mentor the next generation of practitioners and physicians.
PPNNE says they listened to their patient’s feedback and designed a health center to meet their needs.
“Time and again, our patients rave about the health care they receive, giving us a 98% satisfaction rating,” noted Meagan Gallagher, PPNNE President & CEO. “But our current space in West Lebanon does not reflect the quality of care we provide. And it’s time to change that.”
In 2013, PPNNE served nearly 2,000 at their West Lebanon Health Center, totaling more than 3,200 visits.* 61% of their patients were living at or below 150% of the Federal Poverty Level, which for a single person is $17,505 per year. PPNNE has two programs in place—Access Plan and the New Hampshire Family Planning Program—as well as a sliding fee scale, to help women, men, and teens pay their family planning services.
The PPNNE White River Junction Health Center offers high quality, affordable health care services including birth control, well woman visits, pregnancy testing, STI testing and treatment, cancer screenings, abortion services and more. Hours of operation are Monday through Thursday, 11:00AM to 6:00PM, and Friday, 9:00AM to 3:00PM. Appointments can be made by calling 1-866-476-1321 or visiting www.ppnne.org
