Robert Armenta, Senior Vice-President of Public Affairs at Planned Parenthood of Orange & San Bernardino Counties, has been recognized for his leadership in the Orange County Latino community by Senator Dave Min.
Senator Min, who represents California's 37th Senate District, recognized a number of community leaders in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month. He took the time to learn more about the Latino Community in Orange County and the Latino leaders who are working hard to improve the life of the county's residents. The individuals selected come from various fields but they all work tirelessly in assisting some of Orange County’s most vulnerable populations. They embody the true values of Orange County by working to make the community a better place for generations to come.
For 25 years, Robert Armenta has been an outspoken advocate for social change. He’s fought for, defended, and advanced the health and human rights of communities in Southern California and beyond. Robert is a proven leader with a wide breadth of experience in non-profit management, public policy, electoral politics, and lobbying on behalf of progressive issues at all levels of government.
In his current position serving as Senior Vice-President of Public Affairs at PPOSBC, Robert has helped to ensure that underserved women, men, and teens have access to the healthcare and education they need to live healthier lives. Aside from leading the public policy and advocacy work, Robert also oversees the organization’s political action fund established to protect and expand reproductive healthcare and education in California.
