For almost four decades, Mary Veta has been a force of nature in the halls of Planned Parenthood, dipping her toe into just about every role on the Development team. Her well-deserved retirement caps a career during which she literally did it all, from building a donor database from scratch and writing grant proposals to running a planned giving program and planning events, including our Anniversary Dinner. Her career spanned seven U.S. presidents, two affiliate name changes, and countless challenges faced by the movement for reproductive rights—all of which Mary faced with a resolute smile.
“Honesty is Mary’s only option, which is quite a virtue,” says Vice President of Development Keith Limberg, who worked with Mary throughout her nearly four decades of service. “She truly did it all, and she did it capably, willingly, and with that trademark Mary laugh.” Mary’s compassion, resilience, and dedication to the mission of Planned Parenthood will be missed!
