Plan for the future, and support Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest with this free tool
Did you know that 70 percent of people in the United States do not have a will? August is National Make-A-Will Month, and Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest is thrilled to share a FREE estate-planning tool through FreeWill with our supporters.
This past June, the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, which up until now made abortion legal across the country for nearly 50 years. Immediately following the decision health centers in multiple states stopped providing abortion services. Today abortion is still safe and legal in California, and Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest has already become a refuge for patients traveling here to seek essential health care. Nearly a month into this post-Roe world, over 20 percent of our abortion services are provided to patients from out-of-state.
Planned Parenthood has been preparing to meet this moment. With your support, we will continue to provide essential, compassionate health care at our 19 health centers.
Making a will is an important way to protect the people and communities you love, and with FreeWill you can create or update documents in 20 minutes or less. Everyone needs a will, regardless of your age or assets, and there is no better moment than now to find some peace of mind in planning for the future, and supporting organizations you care about.
To get started, visit www.freewill.com/plannedparenthood to start creating or updating your will for free. FreeWill will guide you step-by-step, and if you wish to finalize your plans with an attorney, you can use this document to record your wishes, and save on additional legal fees.
During the process, you will have the opportunity to join our Legacy Circle with a planned gift to Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest, ensuring that generations to come will be able to count on us to be there for them.
We are solid in this fight, and are grateful to have you alongside us as we move forward.
If you have questions, or to learn more about our Legacy Circle and opportunities to make a planned gift, please reach out to Crissandra Flores at [email protected] or visit www.planned.org/legacycircle.
