We are excited to announce the opening of our new health center in Kearny Mesa. With 10,000 square feet of space and 13 patient care rooms, we are now equipped to provide 17,000 visits each year at this location. We provide STI testing, birth control, lifesaving cancer screenings including Pap tests and breast exams, PrEP, PEP, emergency contraceptives, abortion, and many other services.
Patients and staff were thrilled with the new center. They were pleased with the light, the space, and the feeling of the new center. “The colors are so calming and make me feel relaxed while waiting,” one patient told staff.
The center manager said, “We're so excited about our new space and grateful for everyone's efforts to make this opening so successful!”
This health center is replacing our existing Kearny Mesa health center, which provided about 10,000 patient visits each year to people from throughout our region.
This is just one of many health centers that we have opened, expanded, and updated in San Diego, Riverside, and Imperial counties in recent years.
Similar to our other modernized and expanded centers, this new center in Kearny Mesa provides patients with a welcoming spa-like feel that is specially designed to give patients a sense of calm and comfort from the moment they walk through the door and during every step of their experience at our center.
Make an appointment at our new Kearny Mesa health center today by calling 1-888-743-7526 or make an appointment online.
The Kearny Mesa Health Center is also the site of the Grant Rose Wilson Training Center, which will prepare the next generation of reproductive health providers. The training center, with a simulated lab and exam room, and dedicated classrooms, will improve efficiency and quality of our training and allow our other health centers to see more patients. While in-clinic training is required of all new health center staff, centralizing the training will allow other health centers to accommodate 2,100 more patients annually.
We are grateful to our philanthropic supporters who have contributed $655,000 toward the Kearny Mesa Health Center & Clinical Training Center. Naming opportunities are still available; contact the Development team at [email protected] for information about how to support our efforts to bring more care to more communities.
