On Transgender Day of Visibility, and every day, Planned Parenthood stands with transgender people. We see you. We care about you. We stand in solidarity with you – no matter where you live, no matter what.
Transgender people are diverse in their gender identities (the way you feel on the inside), gender expressions (the way you dress and act, that others can see), and sexual orientations (the people you’re attracted to).
Everyone can visit a Planned Parenthood health center for preventive care, STD testing and treatment, birth control, cancer screenings, other sexual and reproductive health services, and referrals.
“We talk about safe sex, how to prevent pregnancy, and what will be the best method of birth control,” said Elva, Vista Isabella health center manager. “Our clinicians also address any exams that may be needed, such as pap smears, infection checks, and testicular and prostate exams if the patient is symptomatic.”

Planned Parenthood’s doors are open to everyone — regardless of gender identity, gender expression, and/or sexual orientation. We believe that all people deserve high-quality, affordable health care and accurate, nonjudgmental sexual health education and information, no matter who they are. We know that when people are truly cared for, they make their lives, their families, and their communities better and healthier.
