Parent & Caregiver Education
The data is in: parents and caregivers have a big influence on how young people make decisions - especially when it comes to sexual and reproductive health.
At Planned Parenthood Southeast, we believe that parents and caregivers are the first and most important educators when it comes to sexual and reproductive health. But we also know that talking about sex can be tough! Many parents are uncomfortable talking with their kids or don’t even know where to start. We're here to help. In PPSE’s parent & caregiver education workshops, you can expect data-informed and age appropriate information to help you navigate difficult conversations with confidence and in ways that strengthen communication between the parent and child.
Whether you’re logging on to a virtual workshop or meeting our team in-person, we support parents and caregivers at all stages of the parenting journey. We provide workshops covering consent, “The Talk,” gender and sexuality, birth control, STIs, healthy communication, media literacy and more.
