You may be feeling concerned because of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak. If you’re having any of these symptoms – fever, cough, shortness of breath – please call the health center and ask to speak to a triage nurse before your appointment or before coming into a health center.

The Virginia Department of Health has also activated a public information line, 877-ASK-VDH, for questions from residents about the novel coronavirus situation.
1. Avoid close contact with people who are sick. Maintain personal space (at least 6 feet) between yourself and someone who is coughing or sneezing.
2. Cover your mouth and nose with your bent elbow or a tissue when you cough or sneeze and make sure to throw away the tissue right away. 3. Wash your hands with soap and water frequently for at least 20 seconds.
4. Use hand sanitizer (with at least 60% alcohol) if soap and water are not available.
5. Try not to touch your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
6. Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe.
